Although this is not very common with programmers, I must admit I have some pleasure in writing essays. Okay, these columns are most of the time technical things but hey, this is a good beginning, isn’t it?
My first try with Linux was in 1998 with Redhat 5.1. Followed versions of Mandrake (5.x to 6.x) and then Slackware 9.x and 10.x. I find this operating system a nice alternative to MS-Windows, and as a matter of fact I regularly switch between them depending on the projects I’m working on.
