Introduction
What is it all about?
Whereas the library introduced with Winamp 2.90, and then 5, is incredibly useful and with no possible doubt the most powerful on the market, there’s one thing true: it isn’t the most eyes-friendly library I have ever seen.
Text, text and text, the library is all textual. No graphics, no colours, no icons, it is practically as attractive as Foobar2000 (nice subtle troll, isn’t it?).
This little plug-in, ml_Icons, aims to be the start of a solution. Basically what it does is to add some nice XP-styled icons all along the left-side treeview. That’s simple, but it already changes the perception of the library. It turns definitively into something more attractive.
Besides, these same icons turn out to be a major improvement for the usability of the library, since it allows to locate more easily a specific item. No more needs to read all the items, you can visually identify the one you need.
Which icons are provided?
Currently, all library’s default items have their icons. Besides, I embeded icons for a couple of extra entries, including:
SHOUTcast Wire
Predixis MusicMagic
Winamp iPod Support
gUSB (not optimal)
ml_Device
MP3 Share Cache
MLTree
Wombat Share
Winamp Olympus MR-100 Support
Radios FR
Creative Nomad Zen Support
There may have some more in the future.
Michael, where is the official artwork?
I’m glad you ask! Here it is:

As you may notice, this is my first official artwork without my Gutenberg avatar! Don’t worry, I’m not rejecting it. It may get back in the future, but probably more quietly that it used to be.
How is this plug-in made of?
It has been written in pure ANSI C, using the Win32 API and the Winamp SDK. Besides, I borrowed a couple of icons from Windows for the matter.
