University Institute of Technology (IUT) of Le Havre

I studied from 2000 to 2002 in one of the ten departments of the institute of technology of Le Havre. I was then awarded the popular DUT, a two years intensive degree.

IUTs usually offers two years degrees called DUT. These are intensive training, with the double objective to prepare ready-to-work skilled technician as well as preparing for eventual further studies for their best students.

Computer Science department

The computer science department welcomes approximatively 280 students every years, split between first and final years.

Most, not to say all, teachers are in fact lecturers from the university faculties. Moreover, the 2,000 yearly taught hours every student read are shared between technical and general courses. This makes the DUT very popular on the french job market. There is no real equivalent degree in the UK education system we can compare with.
