University of Le Havre
University location and figures
The University of Le Havre is one of the three french north-west universities, the others being Rouen and Caen.

It was officially inaugurated in summer 1984, at the same time as the new site. This date marks the date of “independence”, as education structures were already in place for a long time, but were out buildings of the University of Rouen. The IUT once autonomous, was attached to this new administrative structure.

Nowadays, the University of Le Havre welcome about 7,000 students every years, split between faculties, IUTs and engineering schools on its three distinct sites.
UFR des Sciences et Techniques
This UFR is responsable for teaching every fields of science and technology, including computer science. It exists since 1970.

There are approximatively 1,300 students enrolled in this school.
